The race is about WHAT?

Is it just me, or did anyone else find it disturbing that how much money each candidate has raised is bigger news that what any of them stand for?

I realize that it takes money to run a campaign, but is anyone listening to what any of them are saying about ISSUES? (and if ever there was an issue that needed to be addressed, it seems to be campaign funding)

More and more I like what I hear Biden saying....

I've been raging about that too...I think that at least among Dems, all anybody really wants is someone electable, and to some people electability is a function of how much money they have. I think that's really a myth - though obviously there's a basic minimum a candidate has to be able to get or they don't stand a chance. But once a ball gets rolling, and certainly after someone gets the nomination, the democratic money will come. I think the party made this mistake big-time with Kerry...it wasn't that he was "electable," only that he had the least red flags that they thought might turn some people off. The result of that kind of reasoning is the milque-toast new england candidates the party's been spitting out for decades, and you'd think they'd have noticed that the country does not like them!! They want someone who inspires them, period. The Republicans offer inspiring lies. We have to inspire with actual substance, which is harder. But this year we actually seem to have several people who can do it...if only the media would let us hear them...
